The Chemeketa (5-4) and the Bellevue (8-3) each put runners in scoring position on Friday, but the Chemeketa capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out a 1-0 win at St. Martin's College.

The fact that the Chemeketa grouped all of their runs into the ninth inning helped them take advantage of their hits.

Kris Jackson had an impressive outing against the Bellevue's lineup. Jackson held the Bellevue hitless over 1 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.

Despite the loss, the Bellevue's Cody Anderson dominated the Chemeketa's batters, giving up zero runs and striking out six.

Kash Koltermann (1-1) took the loss for the Bellevue. He lasted just three innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed one run.
