The Vancouver Island and the Douglas (11-17) each put runners in scoring position on Wednesday, but the Vancouver Island capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out a 4-2 win at Serauxman.

The Douglas were led by Dean Olson's hitting. Olson went 3-4 and scored two runs. He singled in the first and third innings and doubled in the fifth inning.

Stairs got the win for the Vancouver Island. He allowed two runs over seven innings. He struck out four, walked one and surrendered nine hits.

Josh Yung was charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just two innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
