Matt Courneya held the Arizona Western College scoreless for six innings to boost the Douglas (2-6) to a 12-1 victory.

Courneya struck out four and allowed three walks and four hits.

Six runs in the first three innings helped the Douglas blow out the Arizona Western College. A groundout by Riley MacDonald in the first inning fueled the Douglas' offense early.

Taylor Lawrence racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Douglas. He singled in the second, third, and fourth innings.

Homick was charged with the loss. He allowed six runs in 2 1/3 innings, walked four and struck out one.
