Early lead gives the Edmonds easy victory over the Centralia, 16-1

The Edmonds (11-2) shut the door early on the Centralia (1-7), capturing a 16-1 victory on Sunday at Triton Field .

With nine runs in the first three innings, the Edmonds left no doubt about the eventual outcome.

, a solo home run by Ben Roquet, , a two-run double by Ryland Kerr, and a double by Conor Plaisance in the second inning helped the Edmonds put some runs on the board early.

Roquet led the Edmonds' offensive threat, as he got on base four times in the game. He scored three runs and had three RBIs.

Nick Johnston had an impressive outing against the Centralia's lineup. The Centralia managed just three hits off of Johnston, who allowed one earned run, walked two and struck out one during his five innings of work.

The Centralia were led by Jose Acosta's hitting. Acosta went 1-3, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the first inning.

Wes Stolz was charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed nine runs in four innings, walked five and struck out one.

The Edmonds easily handled the Centralia pitching as six hitters combined for 11 hits, 14 RBIs and 12 runs scored.
