A seven-run explosion in the second inning spurred the Western Nevada College to a 13-3 win in seven innings over the Mt. Hood at John L. Harvey Field on Friday.

The Western Nevada College scored in the second on an error, an error, an error, a two-run double by Kody Reynolds, a two-run single by Tim Lichty, a two-run single by Lichty, and an RBI single by Dj Peters.

Max Karnos picked up the win for the Western Nevada College. Karnos allowed one earned run, five hits and one walk while striking out five over six innings of work.

Aaron Clift (0-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed seven runs in two innings, walked two and struck out five.
