The Mt. Hood (7-3) continued to pile up the runs on Saturday, scoring six runs in the last three innings, on the way to a 15-2 landslide win over the Pierce (4-9) at Ravensdale.
The Mt. Hood scored five runs in the third on the Mt. Hood scored in the third on an error, an error, a groundout by Jay Rogers, a two-run single by Nolan McCall, and a solo home run by Thomas Lane.
Lane had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits.
Joe Balfour brought the heat against the Pierce during his outing. Balfour gave up just two hits, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his five innings of work.
Matt Fish (0-2) took the loss for the Pierce. He allowed nine runs in 4 2/3 innings, walked one and struck out six.
Taylor Travess, Lane, Kody Matthews and McCall helped lead the Mt. Hood. They combined for 10 hits and 10 RBIs.
