An eight-run explosion in the sixth inning spurred the Tacoma (25-9) to a 13-0 win in seven innings over the Green River (7-26) at Minnitti Field on Sunday.
The Tacoma scored in the sixth on an RBI double by Gabe Padukiewicz, a two-run error, an RBI single by Jake Vieth, an RBI single by Vieth, and a three-run home run by Harrison Bragg.
Derik Bontempo put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Tacoma. He doubled in the fourth inning, tripled in the fifth inning, and singled in the sixth inning.
Zach Rohrbach pitched lights out for the Tacoma. The Green River managed just two hits off of Rohrbach, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out six during his five innings of work.
Chase Kairis (2-6) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed 11 runs in five innings, walked none and struck out four.
