Bontempo helps the Tacoma down the Green River 10-6

Derik Bontempo had two extra base hits, sparking the Tacoma (13-7) to a 10-6 victory over the Green River (4-14) on Sunday at Minnitti Field .

He tripled in the second inning and homered in the third inning.

Josh Broom got on base four times in the game for the Green River. He scored one run and had one RBI. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the third and fifth innings.

Jake Brewer got his second win for the Tacoma despite allowing five runs over four innings. Brewer struck out three, walked three and gave up eight hits.

Broom couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Green River, taking a loss. He allowed nine runs in 2 2/3 innings, walked two and struck out none.

The Tacoma's Jake Vieth, Bontempo, Alex Hull and Gabe Padukiewicz combined for eight hits and four RBIs.
