The Edmonds (27-7) came out firing, but couldn't hang on to the lead, ending up on the losing side of a 3-2 ballgame against the Douglas (9-16) on Sunday at Whalley Little League Park .
While the Edmonds led until the fourth inning, the Douglas worked their way back and took the lead on an RBI double by Taylor Lawrence.
Jamie Whitehead racked up six strikeouts in the the Douglas win. Whitehead allowed one earned run on six hits and one walk over seven innings.
Kameron Miner couldn't get it done on the hill for the Edmonds, taking a loss. He lasted just four innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed three runs.
