An outstanding effort by Michael Wood spurred the Everett (22-17) to an 8-0 win in seven innings over the Edmonds (31-9) on Saturday at Everett Memorial Stadium .
Wood pitched lights out for the Everett. The Edmonds managed just one hit off of Wood, who allowed no earned runs, walked three and struck out four during his seven innings of work.
The Everett blew out the Edmonds thanks to 11 hits, including zero extra base hits. The Everett scored three runs in the fourth on the Everett scored in the fourth on an RBI single by Dylan Lavelle, an error, and a groundout by Bryce Peterson.
Peterson put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Everett.
Riley Storedahl (6-2) took the loss for the Edmonds. He allowed six runs in 3 2/3 innings, walked two and struck out none.
