Saturday was a great day for Michael Wood, as Wood tossed a shutout to carry the Everett (15-12) to a 2-0 victory over the Bellevue (19-12) at Everett Memorial Stadium in seven innings.
Wood put together a nice outing. The Bellevue managed just one hit off of the the Everett's pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked four and struck out seven during his seven innings of work.
Noel Gonzalez (0-3) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked three, struck out none, and allowed two runs.
