Key at bat helps the Everett defeat the Shoreline, 6-3

TJ Murphy came off the bench and never even had to swing his bat as Murphy reached on a passed ball in the six to lead the Everett (15-12) to a 6-3 win over the Shoreline (11-13) on Sunday at Meridian.

With the Everett leading by one,.

John Naff had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He singled in the first inning and doubled in the third and fifth innings.

Tanner Braun got the win for the Everett thanks to eight strikeouts. Braun allowed two earned runs on four hits and two walks over seven innings.

Jacob Zanon put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Shoreline. He homered in the first inning and doubled in the fourth inning.

Max Dwyer couldn't get it done on the bump for the Shoreline, taking a loss. He lasted just six innings, walked three, struck out three, and allowed three runs.

Dylan Lavelle, Naff and Murphy helped lead the Everett. They combined for six hits and three RBIs.
