The Yakima Valley outdone by Hanson and the Wenatchee Valley, 7-4

The Wenatchee Valley (14-15) beat the Yakima Valley (18-15) 7-4 on Sunday at Paul Thomas Sr. Stadium behind Hunter Hanson, who had two extra base hits.

He tripled in the third inning, doubled in the seventh inning, and singled in the eighth inning.

The Yakima Valley had no answer for Kyle Blankenship, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Yakima Valley managed just three hits off of Blankenship, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his four innings of work.

Izac Bauer racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Yakima Valley. He tripled in the second inning and singled in the fourth inning.

Micael Taylor improved to 5-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Wenatchee Valley. He allowed four runs over 4 2/3 innings. He struck out four, walked none and surrendered eight hits.

Chris Petrosie ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just four innings, walked three, struck out three, and allowed three runs.
