The Treasure Valley (24-11) beat the Yakima Valley (17-13) 3-2 on Saturday at Parker Field behind Lane LaCrone, who went 2-4.
He singled in the first and eighth innings.The Yakima Valley had no answer for Cody Carroll, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Yakima Valley managed just three hits off of Carroll, who allowed one earned run, walked two and struck out two during his six innings of work.
Chris Petrosie pitched seven innings and allowed two earned runs, eight hits and one walk while striking out four.
Tony McCarty improved to 3-2 on the year by picking up the win for the Treasure Valley. He allowed one run over one inning. McCarty struck out one, walked none and gave up two hits.
Chad Richter (2-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed one run.
