The Wenatchee Valley (14-15) and the Yakima Valley (18-15) each put runners in scoring position on Saturday, but the Wenatchee Valley capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out a 2-1 win at Parker Field .

Hunter Hanson was hot from the plate for the Wenatchee Valley. Hanson went 1-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the eighth inning.

The Yakima Valley couldn't get anything going so long as Brett Ludeman was on the hill. The Yakima Valley managed just two hits off of Ludeman, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his 3 2/3 innings of work.

Despite the loss, the Yakima Valley's Alex Smith dominated the Wenatchee Valley's batters, giving up two runs and striking out 10.
