The Wenatchee Valley outdone by Douglas and the Spokane, 6-5

The Spokane (18-5) beat the Wenatchee Valley (11-9) 6-5 on Wednesday at Spokane Falls Community College behind Evan Douglas, who had three extra base hits.

He doubled in the first and third innings and tripled in the seventh inning.

Kyler Brooks allowed two earned runs, five hits and one walk while striking out three over six innings of work.

Julian Rivera reached base three times in the game for the Wenatchee Valley. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the fourth inning and singled in the sixth inning.

Dain Schademan put together a nice outing. Schademan gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out one during his three innings of work.

Kyle Murray improved to 3-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Spokane. Murray struck out two, walked one and gave up one hit.

Brett Ludeman (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out three, and allowed one run.
