A magnificent effort by Adam Paulson hoisted the Spokane (14-4) to a 2-1 win over the Big Bend (8-10) on Wednesday at Spokane Falls Community College.

Paulson racked up eight strikeouts in the the Spokane win. Paulson allowed one earned run, six hits and two walks over nine innings.

Tyler Thorson had a hot bat for the Spokane. Thorson went 1-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the fourth inning.

The Spokane had no answer for Sam Krapf, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Spokane managed just one hit off of Krapf, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out two during his three innings of work.

Kaleb Price (2-2) took the loss for the Big Bend. He lasted just 4 2/3 innings, walked six, struck out three, and allowed two runs.
