The bats were busy at BBCC Baseball Field on Wednesday, and when the dust cleared the Walla Walla (27-15) had a 10-9 win over the Big Bend (17-22).
The teams totaled 28 hits in the game.
Steven Sordahl was solid at the plate for the Walla Walla. Sordahl went 3-5, drove in one and scored three runs. He singled in the first and seventh innings and doubled in the eighth inning.
Ryan Grening racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Big Bend. He doubled in the first and third innings and homered in the sixth inning.
Daniel Lake got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He allowed two runs over two innings. Lake struck out two, walked three and gave up two hits.
Kaleb Whitlock ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his fifth loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed three runs.
