An exceptional effort by Reign Letkeman lifted the Big Bend (17-21) to a 4-2 win over the Walla Walla (26-15) on Wednesday at BBCC Baseball Field .
Letkeman's nine strikeouts helped the Big Bend to the victory. Letkeman allowed two earned runs, four hits and two walks over nine innings.
Ryan Grening had two extra-base hits for the Big Bend. He doubled in the sixth inning and homered in the eighth inning.
Cameron Walker had a hot bat for the Walla Walla. Walker went 1-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the fifth inning.
Talon Derrick (3-3) took the loss for the Walla Walla. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed two runs.
The Big Bend were sparked by Grening and Adam Munoz, who teamed up for five hits and three RBIs.
