The Walla Walla (23-13)'s three first-inning runs built an early lead that helped bring home a 6-1 win over the Spokane (22-11) on Saturday at Spokane Falls Community College.

The Walla Walla scored in the first on an error and a two-run single by Gibson McGeorge.

Austin Kopacz got on base three times in the game for the Walla Walla. He singled in the fifth and seventh innings.

Johnny McNerney picked up the win for the Walla Walla. McNerney allowed one earned run, seven hits and three walks while striking out three over eight innings of work.

Zach Haggett (4-2) took the loss for the Spokane. He lasted just eight innings, walked two, struck out none, and allowed five runs.
