Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Saturday as the Walla Walla (20-11) outscored the Blue Mountain (10-21) 13-9.

The two teams combined for 25 hits in the game.

The Walla Walla came out swinging, scoring four runs in the first inning to jump ahead of the Blue Mountain early. The Walla Walla scored in the first on a wild pitch, a fielder's choice, and an RBI double by Gibson McGeorge.

Austin Kopacz got a hit in each of his four at bats. He singled in the second, fifth, seventh, and eighth innings.

Talon Derrick recorded his third win of the year for the Walla Walla. He allowed three runs over three innings. Derrick struck out none, walked one and gave up four hits.

Eric Purcell (2-3) took the loss for the Blue Mountain. He lasted just one inning, walked four, struck out none, and allowed four runs.

The Walla Walla were sparked by Kopacz and McGeorge, who teamed up for nine hits and four RBIs.
