The Spokane (16-4) took home a marathon 9-6 victory over the Walla Walla (14-9) on Saturday at Warrior Field .

With the score tied at five, Alex Rees came to the plate and hit a grand slam, scoring Brett Neighbors, Logan Jackson and Michael Heaton.

Evan Douglas racked up six RBIs on two hits for the Spokane. He singled in the ninth inning.

A bright spot for the Walla Walla in the defeat was Clayten Ayres, who allowed only zero runs while striking out six.

Kyle Murray improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Spokane. He allowed one run over four innings. Murray struck out three, walked two and gave up three hits.

Levi Rudolph was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just two innings, walked two, struck out three, and allowed four runs.
