An ace performance by Jake Simmons carried the Walla Walla (13-8) to a 10-1 win over the Wenatchee Valley (9-6) on Wednesday at Paul Thomas Sr. Stadium.

Simmons struck out nine hitters en route to the the Walla Walla win. Simmons allowed one earned run, six hits and one walk over nine innings.

The Walla Walla continued to pile on the runs until the end of the game. The Walla Walla scored three runs in the last three innings to finish off the blowout win. Michael Kilpatrick reached base four times in the game for the Walla Walla. He singled in the second, sixth, and eighth innings.

Kyle Blankenship was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 2 1/3 innings, walked two, struck out four, and allowed five runs.
