Chandler Whitney went 2-4, sparking the Walla Walla (6-5) to an 8-3 victory over the Green River (4-7) on Sunday at Warrior Field .

Jake Simmons racked up eight strikeouts in the the Walla Walla win. Simmons allowed three earned runs, eight hits and one walk over seven innings.

Rob Ackerley racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Green River. He doubled in the fifth inning and singled in the second and seventh innings.

Chase Kairis was charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed six runs in seven innings, walked one and struck out none.
