A walk-off single from Luc Hubbard brought home the winning run for the Columbia Basin (25-10) in an 8-7 victory over the Blue Mountain at Columbia Basin Baseball Field on Saturday.
Hubbard got on base three times in the game for the Columbia Basin. He scored one run and had one RBI. He singled in the ninth inning.
Drew Loera had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He singled in the first inning, tripled in the sixth inning, and doubled in the ninth inning.
Ryker Maupin put together a nice outing. Maupin held the Blue Mountain (12-23) hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four.
Brennan Serrano had a hot bat for the Blue Mountain. Serrano went 2-4, drove in one and scored two runs. He singled in the second and third innings.
Mason Cline ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his fourth loss of the year. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked two, struck out none, and allowed two runs.
