The Columbia Basin cruise past the Big Bend, 12-3

The Columbia Basin (24-9) pounded the Big Bend (13-17) on Wednesday 12-3 at BBCC Baseball Field .

The Columbia Basin scored four runs in the fifth on the Columbia Basin scored in the fifth on an RBI single by Luc Hubbard, a two-run triple by Joey Cotto, and an RBI single by Drew Loera.

Spencer Binnion put himself in scoring position with three extra-base hits for the Columbia Basin. He singled in the third inning and doubled in the first, sixth, and eighth innings.

Kooper Blair pitched lights out for the Columbia Basin. The Big Bend managed just one hit off of the the Columbia Basin's pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his two innings of work.

Evan Harder improved to 4-2 on the year by picking up the win for the Columbia Basin. He allowed three runs over six innings. He struck out five, walked one and surrendered five hits.

Kaleb Price (3-4) took the loss for the Big Bend. He allowed 11 runs in 4 2/3 innings, walked one and struck out three.

Loera, Binnion, Cotto and Max Escarda helped lead the Columbia Basin. They combined for nine hits and seven RBIs.
