The Columbia Basin need walk-off single to beat the Yakima Valley, 7-6

A walk-off single from Spencer Binnion brought home the winning run for the Columbia Basin (17-4) in a 7-6 victory over the Yakima Valley (12-7) at Columbia Basin Baseball Field on Wednesday.

Binnion racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Columbia Basin. He doubled in the eighth inning and singled in the fifth and ninth innings.

Joey Cotto had a hot bat for the Columbia Basin. Cotto went 2-4, drove in one and scored three runs. He singled in the first and ninth innings.

Connor Anderson racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Yakima Valley. He homered in the fourth inning.

JD Page improved to 3-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Columbia Basin. He allowed two runs over 1 2/3 innings. Page struck out one, walked two and gave up three hits.

Spencer Backstrom couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Yakima Valley, taking a loss. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked one, struck out one, and allowed one run.
