Corbin Smith kept the Columbia Basin (15-4) off the board during his seven innings of work and the Spokane (13-3) beat the Columbia Basin, 8-4.

Smith allowed four hits, one walk and struck out three.

Lucas Denney racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Spokane. He doubled in the first inning and homered in the third inning.

Adam Mathews ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 3 2/3 innings, walked one, struck out none, and allowed five runs.
