Meier helps the Columbia Basin down the Olympic 7-2

Hayden Meier had two extra base hits, helping the Columbia Basin (11-2) to a 7-2 victory over the Olympic (4-9) on Saturday at Columbia Basin Baseball Field.

He homered in the first inning and doubled in the third inning.

Evan Harder had an impressive outing against the Olympic's lineup. Harder held the Olympic hitless over 4 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out five.

Ethan Syverson (1-1) took the loss for the Olympic. He lasted just 3 1/3 innings, walked five, struck out two, and allowed four runs.

The Columbia Basin were sparked by Brendan McClary and Meier, who teamed up for four hits and two RBIs.
