The Columbia Basin (8-1) refused to relinquish the lead after grabbing it early against the Centralia (0-5), recording a 14-3 victory on Saturday at Columbia Basin Baseball Field.

With 14 runs in the first three innings, the Columbia Basin left no doubt about the eventual outcome.

An RBI single by Gunnar Buhner, an RBI double by Spencer Binnion, and a two-run double by Joey Cotto during the first inning helped the Columbia Basin put some runs on the board early.

Derek Putman (0-2) took the loss for the Centralia. He allowed 11 runs in two innings, walked one and struck out two.
