The Columbia Basin (6-1) beat the Pierce (3-8) 5-0 in seven innings on Saturday at Columbia Basin Baseball Field behind Damon Nester, who went 2-2.

He singled in the second and third innings.

JD Page had an impressive outing against the Pierce's lineup. Page gave up just two hits, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his three innings of work.

Adam Mathews improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Columbia Basin. Mathews struck out three, walked one and gave up three hits.

Connor Sharp (1-1) took the loss for the Pierce. He lasted just two innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
