Kade Kryzsko tossed a shutout to lift the Lower Columbia (35-8) to a 1-0 win over the Tacoma at David Story Field in eight innings.
Kryzsko held the Tacoma (31-11) scoreless during his eight innings of work. He pitched a shutout, allowing no opposing players to cross the plate on three hits while ringing up five.
Ryan Enquist boosted his batting average thanks to a perfect 3-3 day at the plate to pace the Lower Columbia. He tripled in the fourth inning and singled in the second and eighth innings.
Tom Simpson had an impressive outing against the Lower Columbia's lineup. Simpson gave up just two hits, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out four during his 3 2/3 innings of work.
Simpson (5-1) was the game's losing pitcher.
