The Lower Columbia (24-8) beat the Green River 8-2 on Sunday at Heritage Park after a six-run explosion in the second inning.
The Lower Columbia scored in the second on an RBI double by Tanner Marty, an error, a groundout by Seaver Whalen, a two-run single by Ryan Littlefield, and a two-run single by Chris Rogers.
Rogers racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Lower Columbia.
The Green River (7-22) had no answer for Joel Worden, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Green River managed just one hit off of the the Lower Columbia's pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his four innings of work.
Thomas Richards had two extra-base hits for the Green River. He singled in the third inning and doubled in the fifth and seventh innings.
Jeremy Rabauliman improved to 4-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Lower Columbia. He allowed two runs over five innings. Rabauliman struck out four, walked two and gave up five hits.
Travis Blough ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his fourth loss of the year. He allowed six runs in 1 2/3 innings, walked three and struck out one.
