Connor Mattison kept the Clark (9-11) off the board during his six innings of work and the Lane (10-9) beat the Clark, 8-1.

Mattison allowed two hits, three walks and struck out four.

The Lane turned the win into a rout with two runs in the eighth. The Lane scored in the eighth on an RBI single by Kyle Watson and a steal of home by Josh Overstreet.

Trevor Casanova racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Lane. He homered in the first inning and singled in the eighth inning.

Layne Sutten couldn't get it done on the mound for the Clark, taking a loss. He lasted just six innings, walked one, struck out five, and allowed four runs.
