Both the Lane (7-7) and the Lower Columbia (11-7) put runners aboard on Friday, but it was the Lane that were able to take advantage, pulling out a 2-1 win at David Story Field.
Malik Evans picked up the win for the Lane. Evans pitched seven innings and allowed no earned runs, four hits and two walks while striking out one.
A bright spot for the Lower Columbia in the defeat was Tanner Olson, who allowed only two runs while striking out five.
Olson ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year.
