Joe De Pinto went 3-3 at the plate as the Schaumburg Boomers (6-2) took home a 2-1 victory over the Southern Illinois Miners (1-2) at Rent One Park, Marion, IL on Thursday.

Seth Webster picked up the win for the Schaumburg Boomers. Webster pitched seven innings and allowed one earned run, five hits and four walks while striking out four.

Marquis Riley was hot from the plate for the Southern Illinois Miners. Riley went 3-4 and drove in one. He singled in the second and fourth innings and doubled in the sixth inning.

Rick Teasley allowed one earned run, five hits and two walks while striking out four over seven innings of work.

Teasley (0-1) took the loss for the Southern Illinois Miners.
