A superb effort by Jesse Peters lifted the British Columbia (4-1) to a 1-0 win in eight innings over the New Brunswick (4-2) on Sunday at St. Patricks .
Peters baffled the New Brunswick, striking out 11 batters. The British Columbia's pitcher tossed 7 2/3 innings of shutout ball and allowed only three hits.
A bright spot for the New Brunswick in the defeat was Jean Francois Neveu, who allowed only one run while striking out 11.
Shawn Schaefer improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the British Columbia. He struck out none, walked none and surrendered no hits.
