Peyton Hoyt had two extra base hits, sparking the New Brunswick (5-1) to an 11-6 victory in seven innings over the Vaughan (4-1) on Sunday at BBoys Vaughan Grove one.

Zack Newman improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the New Brunswick. He allowed three runs over four innings. He struck out four, walked one and surrendered five hits.

Vaughn Lucyk couldn't get it done on the hill for the Vaughan, taking a loss. He lasted just 2 1/3 innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed five runs.
