The Alberta (5-0) and the Ontario (4-1) both had scoring chances on Sunday, but it was the Alberta that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 6-2 win at Whalley Athletic Park.
Kelsey Lalor racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Alberta. He tripled in the third inning.
Tylin Lee put together a nice outing. Lee held the Alberta hitless over 1 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out three.
Melissa Armstrong got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He allowed two runs over 5 2/3 innings. Armstrong struck out two, walked one and gave up 10 hits.
Hannah Martensen (1-1) took the loss for the Ontario. He allowed six runs in 3 1/3 innings, walked five and struck out one.
