2 the British Columbia pitchers team up for no-hitter in 9-0 victory over the Newfoundland and Labrador

Story by Narrative Science.

Two pitchers baffled the Newfoundland and Labrador (0-1) and teamed up to throw a no-hitter for the British Columbia (1-0) in a 9-0 victory in seven innings on Thursday at Amde Roy.

Graham Bailey and Liam Campbell teamed up to stifle the Newfoundland and Labrador, striking out none while walking none.

Six runs in the opening three innings allowed the British Columbia to easily put away the Newfoundland and Labrador. An RBI double by Cohen Bogart in the first inning and an RBI single by Donovan Moorman and a two-run error during the second inning fueled the British Columbia's offense early.

Bogart put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the British Columbia.

Bailey brought the heat against the Newfoundland and Labrador during his outing. Bailey held the Newfoundland and Labrador hitless over four innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out five.

Brandon Jackson ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed six runs in two innings, walked two and struck out two.

Liam Godfrey, Bogart and Trevor Brammer helped lead the British Columbia. They combined for seven hits and five RBIs.
