An ace performance by Josh Desai hoisted the Worcester Bravehearts (4-0) to a 1-0 win over the Marthas Vineyard Sharks on Thursday at Fitton Field.

Desai held the Marthas Vineyard Sharks (2-2) scoreless for seven innings. Desai struck out eight and allowed one walk and three hits.

A bright spot for the Marthas Vineyard Sharks in the defeat was Max Slade, who allowed only one run while striking out six.

Slade (0-1) took the loss for the Marthas Vineyard Sharks.
