A magnificent effort by Chuck Weaver led the Florence Freedom (31-43) to a 2-0 win in seven innings over the Traverse City Beach Bums on Wednesday at Wuerfel Park.

Weaver brought the heat against the Traverse City Beach Bums (31-45) during his outing. The Traverse City Beach Bums managed just one hit off of Weaver, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out seven during his seven innings of work.

Sam Eberle went a perfect 2-2 at the plate for the Florence Freedom. He doubled in the fourth inning and singled in the fifth inning.

Tanner Tripp couldn't get it done on the bump for the Traverse City Beach Bums, taking a loss. He lasted just six innings, walked four, struck out one, and allowed one run.
