The Okotoks Dawgs (4-4) took down the Medicine Hat Mavericks (5-2) 21-5 on Saturday at Seaman Stadium after slamming the Medicine Hat Mavericks with 14 runs in the seventh inning.

The Okotoks Dawgs scored in the seventh on a solo home run by Ellis Kelly, an RBI single by Zachiary Johnson, a two-run double by Ross Barker, an RBI single by Taylor Fish, an RBI single by Brendan Rose, an RBI double by Mario Sanchez, an error, an RBI double by Johnson, a three-run home run by Connor Crane, and a two-run home run by Fish.

Johnson racked up five RBIs on five hits for the Okotoks Dawgs.

Bryan Arthur led the Medicine Hat Mavericks' offensive threat, as he got on base four times in the game. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He singled in the third, seventh, and ninth innings.

Shawn Andersen improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Okotoks Dawgs. He struck out three, walked two and surrendered four hits.

Jon Rand (0-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed seven runs in 4 2/3 innings, walked one and struck out two.
