Mac Caples went 3-3 at the plate, helping the Baltimore Redbirds (2-0) to a 7-3 victory over the Bethesda Big Train (1-1) on Wednesday at Shirley Povich Field.
He singled in the fifth inning and doubled in the third and seventh innings.The Bethesda Big Train's lineup had no answer for Brady Bramlett. Bramlett gave up just two hits, allowed one earned run, walked three and struck out seven during his seven innings of work.
Henry Sisson was effective even in defeat, mowing down six the Baltimore Redbirds batters and allowing one run.
Brock Larson (0-1) took the loss for the Bethesda Big Train. He lasted just 2 1/3 innings, walked three, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
