The Bethesda Big Train were led by Stephen Alemais's hitting. Alemais went 2-4 and drove in one. He singled in the third inning and doubled in the eighth inning.
Tayler Stiles kept contact to a minimum, striking out seven the Alexandria Aces batters. The Bethesda Big Train's pitcher gave up just four hits over four shutout innings.
A bright spot for the Alexandria Aces in the defeat was Sean Thompson, who allowed only three runs while striking out five.
Austin Dykes was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
