A walk-off error from Kirk Morgan brought home the winning run for the Lake Norman Copperheads (25-17) in a 3-2 victory over the Ballantyne Smokies (27-15) at Hopewell HS on Tuesday.
Morgan did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Lake Norman Copperheads, reaching base two times. He also drove in one runner. He singled in the sixth inning.
Daniel Stack had two extra-base hits for the Lake Norman Copperheads. He doubled in the second inning and tripled in the sixth inning.
Hunter Hamilton pitched seven innings and allowed one earned run, six hits and two walks while striking out four.
