Brice Cutspec hit two home runs to carry the Santa Fe Fuego (2-1) to a 22-0 win over the Trinidad Triggers (1-2) at Fort Marcy Park.

Cutspec racked up seven RBIs on four hits for the Santa Fe Fuego. He doubled in the third inning, singled in the fifth inning, and homered in the sixth innings.

Austin Carden's 10 strikeouts helped the Santa Fe Fuego to the victory. The Santa Fe Fuego's pitcher tossed nine innings of shutout ball and allowed only three hits.

The Santa Fe Fuego's bats came to life in the sixth inning. The Trinidad Triggers had no answer as the Santa Fe Fuego scored 12 runs. The Santa Fe Fuego scored in the sixth on a passed ball, a three-run home run by Cutspec, an RBI double by Nick Billinger, an RBI single by Eric Kozel, an RBI double by Craig Massey, a two-run single by Chevas Numata, and a three-run home run by Cutspec.

Jeff Lyons ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed six runs in 2 2/3 innings, walked four and struck out two.
