Dennis Karas drove in three runs, helping the California Warriors (24-18) to a 9-5 victory over the Atwater Aviators (18-30) on Wednesday at Fireman's Memorial Ballpark.
He singled in the fifth and sixth innings and tripled in the ninth inning.Despite the loss, the Atwater Aviators' Nathan OLeary dominated the California Warriors' batters, giving up three runs and striking out five.
Kyle Buchanan paced the Atwater Aviators at the plate. Buchanan went 3-5 and scored one run. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the fifth and seventh innings.
Connor Chick recorded his fourth win for the California Warriors even though he allowed five runs over eight innings. Chick struck out seven, walked one and gave up 10 hits.
OLeary (0-5) was the game's losing pitcher.
