Nick Cieri had three extra base hits as the Baltimore Redbirds (17-10) took home a 5-4 victory over the Alexandria Aces (18-13) on Sunday.
He homered in the sixth inning and doubled in the first and seventh innings.Ryan Lukach got on base three times in the game for the Alexandria Aces. He singled in the fifth and ninth innings.
Aaron McGarity improved to 3-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Baltimore Redbirds. He allowed four runs over six innings. McGarity struck out four, walked four and gave up six hits.
Korey Anderson ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed one run.
The Baltimore Redbirds were sparked by Garrett Hudson and Cieri, who teamed up for five hits and four RBIs.
