Scott Fabre went 2-3 as the Weyburn Beavers (13-18) took home a 4-3 victory over the Yorkton Cardinals (11-19) in eight innings at Jubilee Park on Sunday.

Roman Lorentz allowed no earned runs, seven hits and two walks while striking out three over 6 2/3 innings of work.

Nick Gotta paced the Yorkton Cardinals at the plate. Gotta went 3-5. He tripled in the fifth inning and singled in the third and eighth innings.

Toby Eigner recorded his third win of the year for the Weyburn Beavers. Eigner struck out none, walked none and gave up one hit.

Jeff Pool ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just 7 2/3 innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
